PFW S/S11: Roland Mouret

By  October 06, 2010

Relief, pleasure and sheer happiness are the characterisations of Roland Mouret for spring/summer 2011. Acquiring his name back, the designer’s exclamation of “I WANT to say what a pleasure it is to be showing again as Roland Mouret,” was the largest design stimulation to hit the catwalks for a while.

Transpiring into relaxed designs with less structured shapes, the collection nodded to the designers love of construction but without restraining the silhouette.

Leaving behind the difficult air-to-wear that has often characterised many of his previous designs, tailored shorts perfect for the day teamed with relaxed jumpers had that ‘just thrown on feel.’
Deep V necklines added an effortless sexy touch to the silk blouse designs and confirmed the designer’s love of designing for the feminine.
