Held in the Grand Hotel, Balmain’s autumn/winter runway show injected a serious amount of rock into Paris Fashion Week yesterday. Starring a cast of elite models- Frejz,Carmen, Isabelli,Natasha, – it was the show to see for laidback, masculine dressing.
Typically Balmain and typically bling, tops and dresses were adorned in jewels and glitter, radiating little beams of winter magic. Impressive as this is though, it is the more demure looks- void of embellishment and detailing that will cause a fashion flurry come Fall- oversized vests, tailored trousers and boyish blazers. The Balmain Girl has borrowed from her boyfriend and it works.

Staying behind the scenes and not taking a bow, Balmain’s head figure Christophe Decarnin was sorely missed.
