PFW S/S11: Balenciaga

By  October 01, 2010

It isn’t often these days that you see Gisele on the catwalk but, for Nicolas Ghesquière  and Balenciaga, she gets out of bed. On the runway with several models that were cast from the street, the looks were all individual and varied – just what the designer was going for.

This individuality was more wearable than previous Balenciaga collections. The designer still merges futuristic looks with old fashioned classics but this time used plastic texture on houndstooth coats, bright colour ready for spring, flat shoes for the first time and delved into the archives for some cocoon shaped coats.
