PFW Haute Couture S/S12: Chanel & Giorgio Armani Prive

By  January 25, 2012

Haute Couture offered a day of two halves in Paris yesterday. Beginning with galactic space travel at Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld and his elite attendees ventured beyond the clouds in the Chanel jumbo jet. Accompanied by the Chanel cabin crew aka the models, who included Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne and Lindsey Wixson, designs of structured necklines, boucle jackets and ornate detailing made their way down the runway causing a flurry both inside and outside of the stage set (twit pics, instagram, Facebook…Chanel commandeered all the social media!)

In contrast, Giorgio Armani Prive headed into the rainforest, exiting with a reptile or two: Blazers, either cropped or longline, shimmered with scales whilst slim trousers featured unusual textures.
