Marc by Marc Jacobs FW12 was one of my favourite shows of the season so far, yes I’m a huge fan of black and studs but this collection spoke to me! The show opened with a vibrant orange and navy print dress, paired with Dr Marten-esque shoes.
As a genuine optical eyewear wearer I was of course obsessed with the glasses in every shape and size! Pleated skirts were plain, colour blocked, checked and were teamed with sweaters and feminine shirts. For the most part the colour palette was sombre ruled by greys, muted browns, blacks and navy interspersed with hints of gold, metallic blue, and persimmon orange.
Not forgetting block colours and an array of textures

SPEC-tacular styling! Marc by Marc Jacobs, New York Fashion Week
Stand out pieces took the form of a black and white pleated skirt paired with grey letter sweater, a tomato red/orange tracksuit, and blue and grey striped mens sweater teamed with black slack and cream pumps.
The most covetable piece of the collection was the muted brown and grey shearling lined Parker with the fur trimmed hood, showcased by model of the moment (and out heart) Daphne Groeneveld, we wouldn’t mind the grey slacks too!
A totally wearable collection for all!
