Nanette Lepore kept in with her general design aesthetic and delivered a show that was a festival of rich colour and print; the fall collection opened with a mix of chartreuse (that yellowish green colour that looks almost neon) and mulberry (reddish purple). A gem print A-line coat with large lapels, a chartreuse knitted top and skirt was the first outfit of the show worn with metallic purple peep-toe flats; various combinations of the two colours followed including a houndstooth box jacket and shorts teamed with a round neck sweater with cut out detail and handbag.
Embellishments and print were a big feature, the cutest combination of this was the short sleeve sweater with beaded sleeve teamed with A-line ribbon print skirt accessorized with gold peep toe flats. The blue, amber, and gold ensembles worked better for me; the gem print ombre silk blouse with swinging cape like back faded down from blue to orange and was teamed with blue velveteen skinny pants and gold flats. The look that stole the show was the blue blouse with intricate gold overlay worn with amber A-line skirt and blue loafers, such a hot look there was no need for a bag!
Hair was swept up into a backcombed ponytail with side fringe. For the make up the eye was dark using a darkened bronze eyeshadow. The lip was nude and cheeks were blushed with a copper tone.
