NYFW A/W 12-13: Diane von Furstenberg

By  February 14, 2012

The Queen of New York fashion always brings a splash of colour and vivid patterns no matter the season. So while the mentality in the tents was wintry, for this show it felt like spring.

The biggest statement was that colour-blocking is back and the brighter the better. Broken up by metallic gold belts, the burghundy trench was the tip of the iceberg. A pink jumpsuit teamed with a vibrant coat, smart blazers with loose trousers felt luxurious and sophisticated.

Signature prints came in the form of a puzzle piece print dress and hand prints and the vibe was recession free and upbeat. The sexy side of DVF finished the show with a show-stopping black floor-length halter dress. As usual, her A-list front row fans (including friend designer Oscar de la Renta0 were on their feet as she took her deserved bow.
