MFW S/S11: Versace

By  September 27, 2010

With her siren collection (read: sex on sticks, Versace is in the house!) Donatella showed us all that she is still on top of her A-game. The Versace girl, excuse me, VersaceĀ  woman, will be pleased with the full-on hotness (for lack of a better word) and sex appeal Milanese exuded by this collection.

Fetishistic straps, cut aways, skin tight mini dresses and ample opportunity for plenty of flesh peekaboo will make for a happy crop of A-listers looking to show of their perfectly toned bums, legs and arms this spring.

Versace S/S11

Versace S/S11 boasted high waisted skirts cut over the knee teamed with super cropped jackets.

High waisted skirts cut over the knee were teamed with super cropped jackets revealing just the right amount of frelsh between skirt and jacket. Many of the super tight, super short dresses printed with the Versace Greek fret motif featured inlays in PVS that broke up the lines of the silhouettes, keeping the looks sinuous and fluid.

The color palette was a primary one: red, turqoise, yellows interspersed with white and blacks. Eveningwear took the form of full on fringing, plunge front necklines and Liz Hurley ready thigh high slits which I’m sure we will be seeing on many a red carpet. The finishing touch reminding us that no one does sexy fashion like Signora Donatella? She banished the platform to a thing of the past (why should women be comfortable when rocking out on the town like the strong sirens they are?), wrap around 12cm sky high stilettos adorned the feet of each and every model.
