MFW A/W11: Roberto Cavalli

By  February 27, 2011

Illuminating the female form to a level of new dimensions, Roberto Cavalli has shunned the traditional and opted for the futuristic for autumn/winter 2011. Clothing silhouettes in a multitude of layers, mousseline dresses coupled with flowing silk attire, trailed the Milan runway to full effect.

But where the soft fabrics blurred lines, metal and silicone were right there behind, encapsulating and embracing the Cavalli woman. And what a woman she is. Finishing her look with 14-cm horn-shaped heels, she’s a fashion force to be reckoned with.

Leather was laser cut to an inch of it’s life whilst metallic embroidery was the finest around. There is no denying come AW11, the queue outside a Cavalli boutique will mirror the queue outside of yesterdays show.
