The Marriott County Hall Hotel isn’t the first place to think of travelling to for a massage or facial unless you are staying there – but it should be. Nestled in the County Hall building in Waterloo, the Thames, London Eye and Big Ben are just some of the hotel’s neighbours. Once you have navigated your way to the spa within the vast building you are met with expert therapists who offer a holistic approach to beauty treatments. Instead of mere massages, they have a trained physiotherapist who offers everything from Remedial Deep Tissue massages to Osteopathy and Reflexology. With trained athletes on his books as well as those who just want to relax, Daniel Lima is the one to book if you want something a little different.
After complaining about both my shoulders and lower back, Daniel suggested a mixture of massage with osteopathy to help ease the muscles and re-align and lengthen my spine ( apparently I am going to be an inch taller today). From £25-£80 for 25-55 minute massage slots, the Marriott County Hall hotel spa books in time slots and will see what you need rather than you telling them you want. Obviously there are also fabulous facials, body treatments, mani-pedis and waxes on offer as well but if you need a quick fix or a long term solution to tired, aching muscles, or just London life, book in to see Daniel for immediate relief. The treatment rooms are basic but have low lighting and meditative music that ensure the ultimate in relaxation. There is a sauna and relaxation room for afterwards so there is no need to rush out. I will definitely be going back to see if he can straighten me out entirely. I can’t say a normal massage would have the same effect.
