They borrowed from the closet of Polynesian tribes but when it came to their beauty look they made ‘their own futuristic tribe’ said Mel Arter backstage at David Koma. Looking to reflective materials for inspiration, Arter and the MAC Pro Team transformed the young models into ‘frozen bodies in time and sugar coated’ with a mixture of MAC Luna Cream Colour base and Palladium Metal X Cream Eyeshadow. Together these key products highlighted the upper cheekbones and the bridge of the nose.
To create the fresh base Arter and the team used MAC Face and Body.
The striking eye detail was achieved using MAC Lip Glass across the whole lid and up through the brow before placing MAC Pro Blue Reflects Glitter along the lashline. For the lower lashline MAC Pro Wavyblue Eye Pencil was drawn from the inner corner to centre of the lower lid.
Lips were kept clean using MAC Pro Dim Lip Erase before patting on Luna Cream Colour Base (the same as the cheeks).
This look was all about being ‘reflective but muted’ said Arter backstage. Will you be joining the Koma tribe?
