Ashish wowed the early morning fashion crowds with their soviet republic inspired collection on day 5 at London Fashion week.

Continuing to shy away from conventions, Ashish Guta created a collection that fused knitwear, sequins and tweed. The looks have been created to give the image of a girl on her way home, wearing her evening dress with her woollen dressing gown. The look is understated and glistening all in the same moment.
Turkmen rugs and geometrical patterns lent themselves to the models ankle socks which gave the classic brogue a new look.

Masculine features were also recognisable in the striped pyjamas that reminisced of prisoners.
The whole collection of sheath dresses, paper bag trousers and large hand knits definitely shied away from the fur and shearing that has been seen in a lot of A/W collections. To watch live show footage click here.
