DVD Review: Wanderlust

By  October 18, 2012

Comedy kings director David Wain (Role Models) and producer Judd Apatow (Bridesmaids) bring the ultimate hedonistic experience at home with Wanderlust, a rather risqué comedy for you to add  to your DVD collection.

Wanderlust Cast

Wanderlust follows George (Paul Rudd; Role Models, Dinner for Schmucks) and Linda (Jennifer Aniston; Horrible Bosses, The Break Up) who are a stressed out Manhattan couple. After George loses his job, they find themselves with only one option: to move in with George’s awful brother in Atlanta. On the way there, George and Linda stumble upon ‘Elysium’, an idyllic community populated by some extremely colourful characters, who embrace a different way of looking at things. Money? It can’t buy happiness. Careers? Who needs them? Clothes? Only if you want them. Faced with nudists, hallucinogenic and sex with multiple partners, George and Linda must lose themselves in order to find their way.

I loved this movie! The film benefits from the two leads great on-screen chemistry – let’s be honest Aniston is on safe ground here, she can play chirpy in a rom-com standing on her head, and Rudd is amusing as ever!  It is laugh-out-loud funny, and with hilarious special extras including a gag reel and deleted scenes, this is certainly a DVD that you will enjoy time and time again.

Wanderlust is set free on Blu-ray™ and DVD on 25th June 2012
