Book beauty treatments: SalonAddict

By  October 02, 2012

For those times when you need a last-minute blow-dry, wax or pedicure, or you’re in a new city and don’t know where to find a half-decent salon, there’s a new site that promises to answer your beauty needs – SalonAddict.co.uk. The site launched yesterday and is easy to navigate – you select which service you require, choose the neighbourhood you’re in and it offers you a range of salons offering that treatment. Then you can narrow it down by price and there are reviews from other customers to help you make an informed choice. The site covers the whole of the UK with 1300 salons and a range of price points, from super high-end to affordable.

The site originally launched in Ireland in 2011 and co-founder Ryan Estes describes it like this: ‘In essence, SalonAddict.co.uk does for hair and beauty what Toptable.co.uk does for restaurant bookings.’

You don’t have to register any details or create an account (one less password to remember, hurrah!) but you do have to pay a 10 percent deposit when you make your booking online – and then pay the remaining balance when you have your treatment.

The service would come in handy if you were travelling somewhere for a wedding and wanted to book a blow-dry or spray-tan, but didn’t know the area – the site’s recommendations offer an invaluable guide. As it’s open for business 24/7, you can also make next-day appointments after your favourite salon has closed for the day, safe in the knowledge your booking will be secured.

And to celebrate launching in the UK, SalonAddict is offering an introductory offer of 10% off first time treatments for the month of October.  Just use the code PROCTLAUN1 when booking your appointment on the website. Valid until 31st October 2012.
